The Art of Becoming Aware

Just as a raindrop falls quietly onto the earth below, everything that we do, think, feel and say sends ripples into the greater, collective whole. Oneness is our inherent nature, and the nature of every being on the planet. Although there are times when we can feel separate from others and from the world around us, it is impossible to ever be disconnected from our divinity.

Awareness grows in us as we begin to understand that everything is reflected in everything else. We cannot get angry with another without first being angry with a part of ourselves. Alternately, we cannot be at peace with situations around us until we are first at peace within ourselves. There are no true boundaries that determine where one ends and another begins. When we are able to dissolve all feelings and beliefs of separation from our hearts, we will find ourselves with nothing left to give, but love.

Becoming mindful is the art of learning how to observe ourselves without criticism or judgement. As we are able to witness our actions openly and freely, we become aware of which parts of ourselves are still in need of light and healing. With this simple recognition, compassion can flow freely from our hearts as it lovingly repairs our wounds. This gentle understanding sets healing into motion, and helps us to flow naturally back into the comfort of wholeness.

Becoming mindful is the art of learning how to observe ourselves.
